Peak Construction is excited to break ground on a unique 1,200-square-foot artist studio for the Oberon Foundation at 313 Stone Hill Road in Pound Ridge, New York.
The project will sit within the peaceful woods and marshes of the land. It warmly acknowledges the Tankiteke, Wappinger, Siwanoy, Lenape, and other Indigenous communities, who have long ties to these areas, as well as their enduring relationship with the land.
Carefully crafted and designed by the renowned Steven Holl Architects to inspire creativity and reflection with spaces for writing, thinking, and artistic exploration, harmonizing with the natural surroundings, helping artists fully immerse themselves in the environment while at work.
Sustainability sits at the heart of this project. The studio files for Core Green Building Certification with the International Living Future Institute, embracing environmentally mindful design and construction practices. Peak Construction aims to carry out works that respect the site’s wetlands and forests, while ensuring responsibility for energy systems and material selection.
A vision of artistic creativity and expert construction is what Peak Construction and the Oberon Foundation bring together, a place for the artists to grow, at the same time keeping ecological integrity intact.
